Microsoft IDT update corrupts Sigma Tel Sound

Thanks to fireberd for helping identify the issue.

A new Microsoft update for IDT (Formerly Sigmatel) called "IDT High Def Codec", is causing corruption for many users resulting in a "Code 10" Error on their audio device.

Should you see this update appear, *do not* install it.

The fix is to use the System Restore to get back to the configuration before the IDT update. Simply uninstalling the IDT and/or reinstalling the Sigma Tel driver, apparently will not resolve the conflict.
