please help..... dim 9400 sound problems after formatting

hi.
i have format my brand new 9400 and reinstalled win xp pro danish version.
after installed all the newest drivers for sound, board and all the other stuff, i get a problem when i use the cd-rom. my com lacks and the sound to when the cd rom is in use. i have tried all the driver i cut find, but anything helps.
cut anybody help me-

The 9400 is not listed on the Dell support site.  However, most Dell's have "chipset drivers" and they must be installed before installing drivers such as the sound.  Could this be your problem?

There is an Inspiron 9400, and drivers for that portable computer are listed here:

i got the spolution on the problem from dells hotline.
it was the dma on the cd-rom
