It is not Dell's fault, it is Solarwinds. Solarwinds tools set can not recognize new MIB in Dell 6248. I tried another tool, Managed Switch Port Mapping Tool. it works like a charm.

Thanks. Finally we solved this issue.

Re: PowerConnect 6248 Bridge-MIB support?

By upgrading to the 3.0 firmware you already have the associated oids in the switch. You will now need to import the latest MIBs into the Solarwinds browser to access any changes to the new switch firmware from that browser. If that doesn't work Solarwinds may need to update the port-mapping script.

I noticed there are MIBs package in the lates firewware 3 zip file. Do we need to put the MIBs package into the switch?

I am using Solarwinds port mapper tool on Dell PowerConnect 6248. But we got some error

Switch does't support the Bridge-MIB.

It works fine on 5xxx series.

I am just wondering if in latest firmware this MIB will be included.

According to Solarwinds, this function needsRFC1493-MIB:dot1dTpFdbTable or Q-BRIDGE-MIB:dot1qTpFdbTable (http://thwack.com/forums/p/13482/55142.aspx).

Thanks
