A small update came through and I ran the program again. A-squared free did not detect Malwarebytes as spyware this time. Thanks again Joe53.

Re: A-squared free

Joe53, Thanks, I will try updating again and running theprogram again.

Re: A-squared free

This has been reported at the a-squared forums, and of course is a false positive.

They promised to fix it with the next update, and probably already have. I just updated a2, and don't get those detections.

A-squared free

I just updated "a-squared free" and ran it. This program usually finds nothing or ocassionally finds some tracking cookies. This time it found a lot of so called "spyware." When I examined what it found a lot of the items tagged were from the program Malwarebytes Anti-Malware which I also have. This included the entire Malwarebytes program found on the c drive under programs. Has anyone else experienced this? I have had "a-squared free" for a year and this is the first ime I had this experience.
