trying to use it. this was my first dell laptop purchase having had

because your website is so complicated, as in click a download link and
nothing happens.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;i was just simply tring to download dell web video chat which
according to my account is allowed and yet after repeated download
attempts, i get an &amp;quot;error ###- transfer aborted &amp;quot;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; and hence, according to your site, my laptop is still covered by
warranty or something, i was confident enough to try loggin-in to an
onlne chat support, to which, i was redirected to a fee-based chat. i
mean WHY?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;web video chat was installed on my system yet when i tried to use
it, my system wants me to download first sightspeed web video chat. so
why the heck can&amp;#39;t i download this driver when i was supposed to be
able to ?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;my old sony laptop,&amp;nbsp; 4 years old with an older chip fared better
with a cheap 3rd party webcam and driver. driver download was easy from
the sonystyle site;&amp;nbsp; in just 6 minutes, i was chatting with video with
my family in australia, cruppy video images yet it served the purpose
right. imagine my disappointment when i was tring to configure my dell
for almost 4 hours now and yet not any solution in sight ?
...sheeessss.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I have an Inspiron 9300. Recently it failed to stay up for 3-5 minutes. It randomly crashs after a brief cracking noise, after that, it tries to boot and shuts down in 2 seconds after clicking the power button. I am sure It is not RAM problem or hard disk problem as I replaced with brand new RAM and the disk was readable on other machines. I re-seated graphic card. I observed that this laptop was very hot after 10 minutes use. This laptop was once totally dead 11 months after I purchased it in Dec. 2005 and was sent back for DELL service as it was within warranty back then. One month after that service, the battery was not rechargable anymore and I have been using it only with external AC power since then.&amp;nbsp; Anyone has seen this problem before? Any suggestions? TIA. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;POST also failed as it won&amp;#39;t stay alive long enough.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;P.S. I am running Windows XP Home with Media Center.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;2. Open Media Direct 3.5 (The system must have an internet connection at this time to complete the update) &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;3. Scroll right and choose the update option, at this point there will be a message that states an update is available. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;4. Choose yes and follow the steps within Media Direct to complete the update.&lt;/p&gt;
