OK, it sounds like where you're getting stuck is the Windows logon screen. It may be best to verify your wireless mouse & keyboard are functioning before worrying about the operating system or the computer itself. Can you get into the BIOS by pressing F2 at the Dell logo or bring up the one-time boot menu by tapping F12 (also at the Dell logo screen)? Are your keyboard and mouse the bluetooth set Dell offered for sale with the E520? Do you have a USB keyboard and/or mouse that you can temporarily use with the computer? If so connect them & see if you can use the computer normally then give the procedure in this article a try.

The computer boots up and then goes to this media centre edition box asking for a password. The keyboard and mouse are not working as they are wireless(blue tooth).

This does not change even if you restart the computer and the F8 does not work as well

It's unclear what you mean by "stuck on windows media centre edition box." Can you explain that in more detail? Have you tried to restart the computer?

My dell pc dimension E520 is stuck on windows media centre edition box. The mouse and desktop (wireless) do not work. How do I work from here.
