Is it OK to just uninstall the CCC? Does it uninstall cleanly, leaving the underlying driver intact (so Control Panel / Display works normally)?

Thanks jjon90. I was looking around there earlier and saw quit a few people with the same problem on all different brand of computers, so I will go back there tomorrow and dig a little deeper. From what little I saw, it's ammazing all the things that can cause the CCC not to work.

This is a question about the ATI 4870 graphics card in my 435T/9000 computer. Sometime ago on this thread there was someone talking about having trouble when they updated the drivers and software on their computer with the same card. Since I had to replace my graphics card I no longer have the Catalyst Control Center Advanced and only have the very basic adjustments. It actually says basic where before it was advanced. I don't get into that often, but I wanted to change somethings in there yesterday and the advanced is gone. I may be saying this wrong, but before I could get in there and have many, many sdjustments and could even change the speeds of the card. I can only assume that went away when Dell had me uninstall the drivers and then reinstall them when I replaced the card. I have went to the ATI website and can't find anywhere to download the CCC advanced?. Any help would be appreciated as Dell tech support is leading me down the yellow brick road.

Update: I ordered my xps 9000 on September 24th and it arrived today finally on October 27th! I haven't tried it out yet, but I am excited to use my new computer!! Back to work :D

Well, after a short e-mail to Dell customer service, I have been upgraded to Next Business Day for free.

My new expected delivery date is 11/16/09.

My advice: Call Dell customer service. You can't get anything if you don't ask.

I check my status on the Dell Windows 7 upgrade page but it has no shipping info or anything.

I hope we dont have to wait for the upgrade like we do the actual computer- the next O/S may be released

I called Dell support and after getting the run around to the india support line, I finally got connected to a nice gentleman in the states and he had to escalate the issue, so I am now on hold.... to be continued!

I do hope I will see windows 7 soon!

Ordered mine on 10/23/09. It's pretty plain-jane, with just a minor upgrade to the GPU.

Dell originally expected delivery by 11/11/09, that has now been pushed back to 11/19/09 just over the weekend.

Question is, Has Dell fixed the delay issues yet?

<Edit> Just looked at my monitor ordered from an online store on same day (Let's call it "Knewegg.com") and I'll be happily enjoying a 24" black screen from Wednesday 10/28/09 until Dell decides I'm worthy of a computer <\Edit>

I guess they're finally getting caught up with orders. My order status is just now showing as "shipped". It's still too early in the day to get a tracking number. Hopefully it will make the once delayed delivery date of 10/30/09. Sort of bad for an order that was confirmed on 9/28/09, 4 1/2 weeks for a build?

Yes, it's a big one. I think with the 3 fans and the case layout is why it runs so cool. I just did 18 pictures with CS4 and my CPU temps are running from 37c to 41c and my graphics card is at 51c. You are going to really like it. At this date I am sure it will come with Windows 7 which is a big bonus. Enjoy.

Although this weekend my shipping status showed delayed again to Nov 2. I have now been informed that my XPS 9000 has finally been shipped out this morning! Should be in hand tomorrow... says the package is almost 50 lbs. Yikes!
