Blu Ray playback problems

Recently bought a studio 15 laptop with blu ray player and a copy of the dark knight
However playback is pretty poor skipping and genrally every 5 mins having to catch up with itself leaving juddering and no smooth playback

updated all drivers using power dvd dx and  512ati radeon 4500 graphics card with dual core 2.1gig i thought this was more than enough spec for blu ray playback?

Re: Blu Ray playback problems

Hi, jwhitehouse88:

Check your CPU during BR playback. Let me know if PowerDVD is using 100%. If you're not sure how to check this, there's a little utility called Process Explorer that will do the trick.

Re: Blu Ray playback problems

That looks fine. System idle is just what is seems, the system is idle.

I would check Dell downloads for two things. First, a driver update for your graphics adapter. Second, see if there is a firmware update for your BR drive. I would check for you but there are a few different Studio 15 models and I'm not sure which is yours.
