Dell V505w All in one installation problems

Following installation of the above item everything worked fine until the next time the computer was started up and the system hung before completion. The only application able to be started was Task Manager. This showed new processes running among them is SFREM01.EXE which is I believe is associated with the software installation for this printer. By attempting to start McAfee security centre or IE several times this appeared to release the above process and the boot completed.

However the system was unstable and unreliable. Have removed the printer and reinstalled with the same outcome

The computer runs OK after removal but I can not print etc

Have searched the internet to no avail for a solution.

Any advice/assistance would be appreciated
