How do I connect PC to E1705 Laptop?

Hi All,

I've connected my old Gateway (Windows 2000) to my E1705 Latop (Windows XP) with an Ethernet Cable. 

The old PC does not have a monitor, keyboard, or mouse connected to it.

I can't seem to figure out how to map to my old PC to access the files on the hard drive

I also tried connecting the old PC directly to my wireless network router (Linksys WRTG) but I could not find the PC

Does anyone know how I can connect the PC to my Laptop so I can access the files.

Specific instructions or video instructions would be fabulous!
