Dual or clone visual settings

H i have a DELL Studio Xps 435 t  From  Sept  2009, graphics card installed  nVidia G220 with outlets  of Dvi to Hdmi to LCD Tv   , Hdmi to Hdmi on 24 inch HP Monitor and set up at same resolution of 1920 x 1080 as clone / dual ,the Primary Monitor being set to the Hp on my Desktop , my television being a Samsung 46 HDTV viewingas second monitor for Media Center programes  ,i am running Vista Home Premium ,plus Windows 7 Professional  as a Dual Boot system ,............. When i have the need to reboot for any reason  or after update install etc. The computer reboots direct to TV every time and,not as set on Primary HP , CAN ANYONE   supply a fix or answer to the error of booting to secondary display

Test video card DVI to DVI on HP monitor and video card HDMI to TV HDMI. On restart, what is the primary?

Fantastic response time , thanks, Have ordered today Dvi to HDMI  adapter and 2mtr DVI to Dvi cable  ,as have neither ,coming next week at the moment  the primary is set to HP Monitor but the DELL start up screen with logo /  F2  and  F12  always start on TV  which is acting as Primary  (the secondary )  so cannot see choice of either Vista or Win 7,anyway will contact again when following your test Cool

Not sure about the UK dell thing. So the conclusion from this is that whatever is plugged into the DVI gets Display 1 and HDMI gets Display 2? Is that correct?

Yes , thats correct  Desktop Monitor now Primary  and Tv  Secondary , everything perfect Thanks
