Speaker having popping sounds

My laptop speaker isn't functioning well, as it will create some popping sound and noises. It will also sometimes jam. What can i do to solve the problem? send it back to dell?

Please mention the model name of your laptop and its operating system.

What do you mean by "jam". It stutters or something like that?

My laptop model is Studio 15 and its OS is Window Vista. Ya it stutters.

Check out the tips in the thread Choppy/Skipping Audio Workarounds, particularly the wireless. If turning off the wireless helps, update your WLAN driver to the latest Dell web-posted version.

There is also a DPC latency problem that can cause noises  (the main thread about it). Dell is working on a BIOS revision to fix that problem.

I tried turning off the wireless and I also update the driver but it didn't help. I tried going to the Vista Anti-Lag  but the site is no longer available. Oh ya, My laptop alway lag and tends to hang which will require me to restart the computer. Is there any solution to this?

but if turning off the wireless did not help then Vista Antilag will not help either, because it corrects a problem with the wireless.  If your computer is freezing and running slow, you might have a virus or some other malware. There are a lot of things that can make a computer slow.
