CN2145 network printer and fax can't fax over the network!

Where is the logic. This is a business class device, so over the network if I want to send a fax, I have to print it. Then get up, take the paper out only to put it back in to fax, then to throw it out after it completes wasting paper, toner and time.
Does this make sense to anytone? And since others will read this, does anyone have a workaround solution. Dell's response is maybe some 3rd party software will work. Great response!
Anyway, if anyone has ideas or software ideas to fax over the network using this device it's appreciated.
