inspiron 537 slim ati x 1300

Hello, does anyone know if a regular ATI x 1300 vid card fit in a inspiron 537 s? Manual says it takes half height cards. Thanks

Slim cases require low profile cards. Full-height cards won't fit.

You should be able to get a half-height card for $30, and it'll have a more modern GPU.

pci 16 ... here are a few suggestions:

if you don't do any gaming i'd go with an ATI 4350

if you do light gaming maybe Nvidia 9400

medium gaming ATI 4650

those are some low profile card links ... just need to make sure whatever card you decide on is "low profile" and is pci express 16 (it's ok if the card says pci express 16 2.0 ... it is backwards compatable with regular pci express 16)
