TrayApp.msi Error after running a repair with Registry Mechanic... need help!

HELP!!! An error named TrayApp.msi is keep poping up every time I reboot my computer.

The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailiable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'TrayApp.msi' in the box below.

I tried the following:
I reinstalled my HP software however the computer didn't seem to find the file or just ignored it. (Tried this like 20 times)
I have also chose an alternate path to E:\setup\trayapp\TrayApp.msi and it still didn't work... mad.gif

I can do a system recovery, but this is the only issue I'm having after running the repair with Registry Mechanic.

Since, I prefer to fix this without doing a system recovery, I just have to ask some experts.

Thanks to your response, in advance!

Info here:  http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&docname=c00811375

Note which HP software may need to be reinstalled:

 *
aiosoftware.msi - HP Photosmart Digital Imaging software
    *
documentviewer.msi - HP Photosmart Digital Imaging software
    *
      ezarc.msi - Sonic MyDVD
    *
HpSdpAppCoreApp.msi - HP Easy Internet Signup
    *
hpproductassistant.msi - HP Photosmart Digital Imaging software
    *
      mydvd.msi - Sonic MyDVD
    *
Photogallery.msi - HP Photosmart Digital Imaging software
    *
TrayApp.msi - HP Photosmart Digital Imaging software

NOTE:     You should not attempt to replace only the msi file. Instead, you should reinstall the entire software package that is associated with the msi file. That is, if the error is associated with printer or camera software, reinstall the printer or camera software to re-associate all of the links to the files. HP software applications can be downloaded from the Customer Care web site or through an application recovery process if the software originally came with the computer.

there should be a restore button or recovery center thing somewhere in registry mechanic also when using registry cleaners always look before you delete because sometimes they cause more trouble than they are worth

You are most welcome.

So called "registry cleaners"  can aggravate a situation and take steps we are many times not manually aware of. It is better not to resort to such programs in cases in which you don't know what is happening with the proposed fix and the registry. Otherwise, a change to the registry can make a system unbootable by one mistake.

Here are some good discussions:

This was a discussion topic rather than one meeting the requirements in this announcement:

It probably should have been posted in Virus & Spyware Discussions. Nevertheless, the issue has been resolved, so this thread is now closed.
