A-squared anti-malware 4.5 paid version FREE

I can't see any reason not to snag this paid version on Nov. 11 for free. I will be grabbing it myself.

I've used it for several years as an on-demand scanner, and it has given me no real problems. Recent download issues of large updates seems to have been resolved. Although it incorporates both an anti-spyware and the Ikarus AV in real-time, I can't recommend it as a replacement for  other better AVs.

But as an on-demand scanner it is pretty decent, with a high rate of detection. And it has many features the free version lacks:

It does have a reputation of having a high rate of false positive detections (most due to Ikarus), but I have never seen a system-wrecking FP. Just be careful with what you quarantine/delete.

RED DAWN, When I go to the "offer page" in your link it takes me to a download that says a "free 30 day" trial.  Where is the download that says free for a year?

OH I see now where you say this will occur on November 11th.  I missed that important detail. 

I took advantage of this promo when they offered it about a year and a half ago and will do so again. It's "Background Guard" live protection didn't seem to conflict with my other programs. Hopefully the update problem has been fixed and if the full version has automatic updates I will go for that. Looking just now, the free version requires manual updates and I now check for new ones both when signing on for the day, and when signing off in the evening. The program has detected a (very) few FP's, but overall I have been pleased with the product.

Today is the day, and I snagged it. I had some concerns it might be a "TrialPay" offer, but it did not turn out to be true. It's a true freebie.

Just some added info for anyone availing of this offer, but who don't intend to use the coupon straight away.

I didn't see any "Trial Pay" wording this afternoon, as I did earlier in the day when I tried to download it. But that session aborted for some reason so I had to try it again this afternoon. So hope I got the right version. Guess I should delete the free version before installing the new.

I get a sign in screen that empahasizes a "30 day offer".  And what about the coupon being mentioned? I musta messed up.
