Studio 17 now with i7-processor, but why no wireless option with n-standard anymore?

Hi,

finally the notebook studio 17 is available with i7-820QM processor and 1920x1080 display which is very nice, but at the same time I really wonder why since today there is no more wireless connection option with "n-standard" availlable anymore (just "Dell Wireless 1397-mini card (802.11 b/g)"). Yesterday there was still "Intel WiFi Link 5100 mini card (802.11 a/b/g/n, 1 x 2)" available. What about adding these option again?

Really strange: Now while waiting if they will add a better wireless connection to the Studio 17 notebooks again I noticed that they also removed the Bluetooth option. Do they really think to sell a multimedia notebook without bluetooth ... ?

Re: Studio 17 now with i7-processor, but why no wireless option with n-standard anymore?

I too was waiting for the new i7 processor and Windows 7 to be available on the Studio 17, and as soon as it was not only was the Wireless a/b/g/n card gone, but the bluetooth as well as the AT&T mobile broadband card.  I have been in email arguments as well as phone arguments with Dell complaining about their lack of these options, but they continuee to tell me there is nothing they can do to help and that I should look into different systems.  Apparently, if there is not enough demand for a option, they dont offer it anymore.  With the majority of customers buying online, I wonder how many will actually take the time ot request an option in a Dell laptop instead of just moving to a different manufacturer?  I have been a loyal Dell customer for years, but their recent lack of options on this laptop is making me reconsider my loyalty.  I've been patiently waiting for a new laptop since June, and now that I have saved up and am finally ready, the options I require are no longer available.  Whats even stranger is Wireless N as well as Bluetooth are both available on the Studio XPS with the same i7 processor and Windows 7.  Dell needs to get together before they start losing more customers.  Wireless-N, Bluetooth (and possibly Mobile Broadband) are options that should be available on every computer being produced today - why Dell has made the decision that they shouldnt just doesnt make sense.

I'm facing the same problem here in France. I've saved up and I'm ready to buy new Dell Studio 17  but it's not possible to combine core i7 option with Wireless N. With core i7 you only can get Wireless b/g.  Besides, there's neither bluetooth option nor TV tuner. And finally while 8 Gb DDR3 1333MHz memory costs $ 665 in U.S., it costs 620 euros here that is to say $ 930 !!! As a result, I've been checking laptops from other manufacturers...
