Re: CD/DVD Driver for inspiron 1521

there are no drivers on the support site for cd/dvd drives  just firmware updates.  if you haven't yet you need to reboot and let windows reinstall the default drivers.  before you do that though delete the filters and your burning problems should be fixed.

Filter instructions here

Re: CD/DVD Driver for inspiron 1521

Try the windows DVD maker in Vista, if that doesn't work you may have a bad drive.  if it's worked before and recently stopped you could try a system restore also.  if you have access to another drive try using it.  If the other drive works you got a bad drive.
