Question about Stacking on 6224

Is it possible to do port-channel groups across 2 6224s without using the stacking module?

ie: can we team/stack the switches using one of the fiber or gige ports?

 

the goal is to have 2 core switches (6224) use vrrp to make them redundant and connect 1 port from each server to each switch, so if one fails everything will remain up and running.

I'd also like to do this on our isolated ISCSI network.

 

I guess what I need to know is do we NEED to purchase the stacking modules?  Or is it possible (albeit slower) to "stack" with one of the slower interfaces?

I might have answered my own question but i'd like someone else to confirm this..

 

it does not look like it is possible to have port-channel groups span switches without having a stacking module.

 

it also looks like the only stacking module that will work is the 48Gbps $300 module.

 

can someone confirm this?

That's correct: you can't have a LAG which spans switches, without stacking; and there's only one stacking module.  
You CAN buy longer (3 meter) cables for it if you like, but it comes with a 1 meter cable.
