Photo 964 and Wimdows 7 RC

I can't get the printer to work on Windows 7 RC. Any ideas? I note that Windows 7 is not listed as a supported operating system.

You can download the patch, it may or may not work. If not, then you might have to Manual Printer Driver Removal

 

Restart your computer.

 

Try using the Vista 32-bit drivers as Windows 7 is supposed to be backward compatible. Dell says this printer is not Windows 7 compatab;e but someone got it working with Vista 64-bit drivers.

Have you tried using the Vista drivers. Most will work. Since win 7 is not an officially released OS then there will not be any drivers listed until it is.

Hi I need the 32-bit driver please, and by the way I'm now on the upgraded version of 7. The scanner works but the printer is still dead. Hope you can help.

Dell said that this printer is NOt Windows 7 compatible and it worked, go figure. I'm sure it will be hit and miss but I'd glad about the 964 printer as I have one.

 

If you could mark the verified answer of the solution, that way if someone else is looking for the Windows 7 32-bit drivers, they can see what you did to get the printer working.
