PC6248 BRIDGE-MIB::dot1dBridge

Hi Folks,

I use :

snmpwalk -v 1 -c <pass> <ip> BRIDGE-MIB::dot1dBridge

on
Dell switches like PC5224 to get the MAC's off each port. But this does not appear to exist on the PC6248's. Is there a switch to enable it, or another MIB I should use to get this information?

Thanks,

JES

Try the dot1qBridge and see if it gives you the information you need.

Re: PC6248 BRIDGE-MIB::dot1dBridge

Hi Victor,

I use the solarwinds Mib-browser to browse all MIB in Powerconnect 6248, but I failed to find out dot1qbridge. Do you have any other tool for me to find out this MIB's value in windows environment?

I do need a way to get the MAC on the ports in this Model.

Thanks ------John

Re: PC6248 BRIDGE-MIB::dot1dBridge

Hi Victor

I got a snmpwalk working, but still get this error.

snmpwalk -v 1 -c xxxxx x.x.x.x BRIDGE-MIB::dot1qBri                         dge
Jul  3 19:35:29xxxx [LOG_ERR] snmpwalk: Cannot find module (BRIDGE-MIB)                         : At line 7 in (none)
Jul  3 19:35:29xxxx [LOG_ERR] snmpwalk: BRIDGE-MIB::dot1qBridge: Unknow                         n Object Identifier

Could you mind telling me which firmware version on 6248 you guys are using?

Thanks

John
