Re: Has anyone taken delivery of the New Studio XPS 435?

Tomcat435MT:i-vol, I haven't been on this thread in quite a while, so I was glad to see you were still here, adding some occasional humor to this train wreck.
After all the early blogs about fan noise, etc., I just wanted to reiterate how much that issue was blown out of proportion. Overall, my XPS 435T is probably the quietest desktop machine I've ever owned.
I was wondering how you were getting along. Good to hear you and your 435T are doing well.
On the fan issues, I really think this issue is solely with the 435MT version, not the T. It seems the MT, which has only one case fan verses the two for the T, has a louder fan implementation and quite possibly a different fan altogether. In addition, a lot was due to the original bios of the MT, which ran the 70CFM fan into leaf blower mode at odd times. Most T users have had no fan issues for all the above reasons. Occasionally, you'll see a Tower owner wonder what all the fuss was about, not realizing that 98% of the complaints were coming from owners with a totally different case and fan implementation.
On the delivery issues, I think this has really dwindled to the few with specific problem points. This thread almost died a total death due to lack of issus.
Regardless, great to see you enjoying your 435T. My 435MT, now having been in operation for six months, has had zero issues, performance wise. It's not missed a beat besides one keyboard issue, which Dell rectified with a replacement.
