Seem to have run into a hurdle on trying to perform a reset back to original factory settings on my dell Inspiron 1764...Any help is appreciated....Have tried a variety of the function keys upon power-up, but with no success...tried the F8, mbut given no factory reset option...F2 & F12 do not seem to be what I need either...Any help ??? Can you provide a bit more info?
1. Does your system boot fully to Windows 7? If not, how far along does it get?
2. Have you disconnected any and every cable/usb device from this system?
3. Do you suspect 3rd party hardware or software is involved? Installed anything right before your issue began?
