    i just got an alert mail that SupportAssist is unable to connect to the OpenManage Essentials REST service. what does this error means and how do i resolve this issue ? thanks.

  • i tried restarting all the OME services in service.msc and also restart service in OME console, then i run test connectivity in Support Assist again , but it is still failing

    Was the system working normally before and suddenly started throwing this error?  If so, perhaps the credentials configured in Settings tab under System Credential need to be updated.

    If this is a new install, then you need to make sure the account configured under System Credentials is also a member of the following OME Security groups in Server Manager:

    1. OMEAdministrators

    2. OMEPowerUsers

    3. OME Users
