SupportAssist is now available for monitoring up to 20 PowerEdge devices, no systems management console required. Once downloaded, this free software shares the same automated proactive features as in previous versions of this support tool. SupportAssist is designed with automated proactive features to help streamline support process steps, maintain system health, and identify failures faster with 24x7x365 monitoring plus automatic case creation and contact from Dell Technical Support, depending on warranty entitlement.

 

For this new version, we want to announce the following highlights:

  • Runs on 9G through 13G PowerEdge servers with Windows 2008 or 2012; Windows 2003 is only supported on monitored devices, along with 2008 and 2012
  • Designed for monitoring up to 20 PowerEdge servers that operate with Windows or Linux OS
  • Easy set-up with automatic installation of OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA) for monitored devices
  • Maintains the same simple interface seen in SupportAssist for OME
  • Capable of out-of-band monitoring via iDRAC7 or iDRAC8
  • Allows users to switch selected devices into Maintenance Mode
  • Enables ProSupport Plus reporting
