Simplicity. A solid word usually not associated with desktop virtualization, right? The truth is that many IT organizations today who want to deploy virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) find traditional VDI somewhat of a challenge. These organizations find it challenging to set up, configure and deploy VDI due to complexity of consoles, and servers and equipment needed to establish a simple proof of concept or pilot. These challenges cause IT organizations either to do nothing, outsource their VDI projects or reset their projects and try again, all driving up their TCO and ROIs. Not good.
Dell's comprehensive portfolio of desktop virtualization solutions helps organizations of all sizes accelerate their business needs and return on investments with specially designed products and solutions tailored to their needs. The Dell and Citrix VDI-in-a-box virtualization solution is a perfect example.
The Dell and Citrix VDI-in-a-box solution simplifies virtualization deployments by providing a single console for managing virtual machines, images and access all in a neat package. This solution is specifically designed to address the business and technical needs of small to midsize IT organizations who want to reduce their VDI management, complexity and cost, making IT more agile and able to drive strategic business needs for the organization.

Any plans to have a HyperV version of this?
Hi Ben,
Thank you for your question. Dell and Citrix VDI-in-a-box 5 currently supports Microsoft Hyper-V. Let me know if you need more information.
Ben - actually, VDI-in-a-Box 5.0 will launch from Citrix at the end of November and that version will support Hyper-V. The software version will be available via S&P once Citrix launches it.
