Dell’s Think Tank at #ISTE12 was an eye-opening experience. Leading a section titled “Innovating the Classroom, How Technology Can Help” provided me with a unique opportunity to hear thoughts and ideas from people with various ideologies and backgrounds.
Surprising to some was the lack of familiarity that many students have with education technology. The group came to the realization that students will not maximize what is not already convenient and certainly will not use what they are not acquainted with. Engaging students in education technology policy-making became a clear solution to ensuring that we can effectively innovate the classroom.
