Although an Undergraduate at Purdue University, Sky has not only completed a 7 month co-op / internship with Unilever, a major distributor of food, home, and personal care consumer products. But also is at the mid-point of his second Supply Chain Internship with Dell.

When I set down to write this article, I had to wonder… what would you as the reader want to hear about? Possibly, you’re here because you’ve heard of Dell’s commitment to Education and you found this article—a look into just one of Dell’s programs that support education at all levels. Or perhaps, you’ve been stumbling around Dell’s Career site and you want to hear exactly what an internship with a Fortune 40 technology company is like. Maybe you are a young professional trying to determine if Dell is right for you.
Whatever the reason, I’m glad you’re here. You are part of a diverse group of individuals that you probably haven’t given much thought to… “My Readers”. Each of you sees the world through your own lens, brings your own viewpoint to this article, and will walk away with different takeaways. You aren’t much different from what I see at Dell every day. People at Dell are drawn together from all over the globe and from all walks of life to provide solutions that enable consumers to flourish—solutions that only Dell employees could deliver. There is no group of individuals on the planet quite like Dell, and they know that. Dell does not underestimate the power of diversity in their work environment.
I love being part of a diverse work environment like Dell’s. I know that whether I’m participating in a discussion about the merits of a certain project or brainstorming with my team, we will develop a wider range of possibilities and have a much greater chance of success. I feel like I’m a valued member of our team, and I know that my views are welcomed at Dell.
