This week marks the 8th annual celebration of National Health IT Week, a time when organizations across the country join together to raise awareness of the value of health IT.
Much has changed since the federal Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) was established nearly a decade ago to support the broad adoption of health information technology and the promotion of nationwide health information exchange to improve health care. As the following infographic demonstrates, we are making progress toward the goal of patient-centered, information-driven healthcare, but there is more work to be done.
Dell is participating in several National Health IT Week events in Washington D.C., including the HIMSS Policy Summit and Childhood Cancer Summit. We’re also collaborating with the Bipartisan Policy Center on a forum exploring the promise of personalized medicine on Friday, Sept. 20 from 10 am – 12:30 pm ET. Join the interactive webcast and follow the conversation on Twitter at #personalizedmedicine.
