After a record year for Dell Partners in 2012, we’re keen to make 2013 even more profitable for our valued Preferred and Premier audience. In pursuit of this goal we’ve recently completed a revamp of the Find a Partner tool; the recent enhancements were incorporated based on feedback from both partners and customers.

As mentioned, Find a Partner is specifically for Preferred and Premier Partners in the Dell PartnerDirect Program; it is a graphical search engine, allowing customers to pinpoint partners through their location, and their Dell competencies. Another improvement that we have recently made is to heavily promote Find a Partner on the Dell.com pages; this means that the vast customer audience who go through that site researching solutions and products will be able to see the tool, thus enabling Find a Partner to also be a solid lead generation vehicle.

The feedback we previously received around the tool has further led us to significantly improve the user interface for both partners and customers, making it more intuitive to navigate; in addition the tool is in the final stages of being rolled out to the remaining markets Dell and our Partners service in Europe. Aside from allowing you to showcase your competencies, the Find a Partner tool creates an opportunity to talk about your value proposition and promote your business to local customers. Remember – this tool has just been promoted onto the main Dell site, so it’s a great chance to get your company in front of prospects.

If you’re a Preferred or Premier partner and your company has neither registered into Find a Partner, nor updated its profile, now is the time to get the ball rolling. To set up or edit your company’s inclusion into Find a Partner, you will need to login to the PartnerDirect Portal as the account administrator and click on the Account Settings link in the top left hand corner. The Find a Partner profile administration settings menu will then load – download the detailed instructions here. Or if you have any queries, please contact your account manager for more details.
