With the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) happening this week in Las Vegas there’s endless gadget-induced excitement in the air. But the Dell Cloud Client Computing team is most thrilled about our own game-changing announcement which will bring new levels of mobility and work/life convergence right to people’s pockets.

As much as we rely on our tablets, PCs and smartphones these days, it’s undeniable that from time to time they fail us. They can easily run out of charge, malfunction, get lost, stolen or damaged, or often aren’t convenient to haul around. And much of the time it seems like these issues happen at the most inopportune times. This is where “Project Ophelia” comes in.

The ultra-compact multimedia-capable device Dell announced today, codenamed “Dell Wyse Project Ophelia,” is about the size of a USB stick and enables users to turn any capable display into a window to the cloud. A valuable tool for both work and play, when you plug “Project Ophelia” into any capable TV or monitor, you’ll be able to easily and securely access, display, and collaborate on business applications as well as personal entertainment and subscriptions with the benefits of a large screen. It’s the perfect solution whether you’re presenting to clients or you’re streaming a movie to watch with friends.
