Do you remember the power suit? Or, perhaps you may have just heard mention of how it was once regarded as standard “boardroom armor”. The power suit gave a business person an air of power and upward mobility, a certain sense of security and above all a mark of style. Well, the new Vostro 3000 series laptops provide business users with many of the same qualities (albeit in an updated electronic fashion with no large shoulder pads).
The power of the Vostro 3360, 3460, 3560 comes in the offering of Intel's third generation Ivy Bridge processors with DDR3 memory. And when configured with a 32GB mSATA SSD card, the laptops will feature near-instant boot-up and hibernate response times with Intel Rapid Start Technology. Like your morning coffee, this technology enables the Vostro to go from fully asleep to fully productive in a flash.
This power and performance extends into a wealth of connection/mobility features. Bring the boardroom to you with an HD webcam, digital array microphones to reduce background noise, preinstalled Skype 11 and Waves MaxxVoice Pro software for a crystal clear collaboration solution. And with 3G mobile broadband or 4G LTE options, you can close that deal from any location.

All this performance and mobility can be exercised with peace of mind that your work is secure. The Vostro line delivers dependable, worry-free business security and services allowing customers to concentrate on business without focusing on their IT. Standard fingerprint reader, file and folder encryption via DigitalPersona File Protection software, and Trend Micro security software ensure that critical data is securely protected, while Dell DataSafe Online Backup safeguards that valuable data via online back-up to a protected, remote storage site. Additionally, award-winning and comprehensive Dell ProSupport delivers 24/7 access to experts well-versed in the needs of a growing business.
I’d be remiss (with respect to the power suit analogy) if I didn’t mention the style and aesthetics of the 3000 series. Let’s start with the fact that it comes in three different form factors, a 13”, 14” and 15”; all of them thin and powerful with the 3360 setting the pace with a svelte sub-20mm waist line. Options move beyond boring pinstripes and bland grays with three colors to choose from – Aberdeen Silver, Brisbane Bronze, or Lucerne Red. On the exterior you have a smudge-free, brushed aluminum finish, and inside you have soft-touch palm rests and three customizable dashboard buttons to launch system tools and 24x7 support.
All-in-all the Vostro 3000 series brings a real value to business users by combining performance and design balanced by lock-tight security.

There’s been a lot of anticipation surrounding Intel’s next-generation
does dell eliminate the 17" vostro or it will launched later. thx
Welcome to the latest edition of the Weekly Recap, your guide to the week's Dell-related news and
I would recommend dell to design vostro laptop like sony vaio E series 2012 optical and hdd on the left side ,usually hdd under mother board result in heat and oher issue also to provide hdd at 5400rpm which would again reduce heat .
Make the Cmos battery available from bottom case.
Removal of access panel should be designed in better way as the current vostro 3560/3460 the lockings can be broken easily and its hard to take out the panel more screws(on all four side) would be better on bottom case rather then plastic locking.
Wifi needs to be better by providing 2x2 antenna
keyboard removal the plastic locking (abv the keyboard)needs to be replaced with screws as its easily broken during service of laptop or during change of WLAN card,Dell needs to understand these are SMB and require these access.
Current Cons of Vostro 3460/3560.
Cpu fan spinning max making noise at odd timings when no apps running complain by many on dell community site including me but no resolution
Wifi issue:Dell well known for wifi signal/speed drops by customer but dell quotes as "NOT KNOW ISSUE'" and blame other things on instead of providing drvier fix as currently the DW 1704 the fix is to install driver from lenevo website shame on dell for not providing the update
wifi issue link on dell community consider by dell customer have just commented ,cusomer are not fools to write on community site .
