August was an exciting and historic month in our industry, and our Global Commercial Channel business has been busy in the thick of it all.
We announced our Q2 earnings, with Channel contributing about 27 percent of Dell’s overall global commercial revenue. We launched a new generation of EqualLogic storage solutions, expanding the solution set our partners can offer in the x86 space. We launched our Demo Portal as an additional benefit for partners who invest in training and certification to reach the Premier level of PartnerDirect. We completed our acquisition of Force10, which provides global service and support capabilities in more than 60 countries through an extensive network of channel partners. And, we launched Dell Cloud Business Applications which will look to engage partners with SaaS-specific expertise through systems integrators and consultancies.
Rather than me trying to tell you about all this, however, we grabbed a few minutes with our Vice President Global Commercial Channel Greg Davis to ask him on video about how all of this will help our Channel partners grow their business and provide the end-to-end solutions their customers need.
