Readers of Direct2Dell know that recycling is hardly new terrain for us at Dell. A few minutes ago, we announced that we're making it even easier for customers to responsibly recycle with two major announcements that expand our free recycling program. First, we expanded our U.S. ReConnect recycling partnership with Goodwill Industries to six additional states, including Arkansas, Iowa, Maine, New Hampshire, Oregon and Vermont. The Reconnect program will now also be expanded to include the cities of Akron, Ohio; Frederick, Md.; and New Haven, Conn.
Our free recycling partnership with Goodwill has the added benefit of creating green jobs at a time when they are very much needed. The Dell-Goodwill Reconnect program will recycle used computers, of any brand, in an environmentally responsible manner at more than 1,000 participating Goodwill stores nationwide for free. Not only does Reconnect enable consumers to recycle responsibly, but Goodwill will hire local residents to help manage and oversee the program.
To help our customers achieve their own environmental goals, we offer several responsible consumer options:
We encourage everyone to clean out their attics and basements and drop off (or send in) that unwanted computer. It will clear up space in your home and help you become a responsible recycler!
What else are you doing to promote recycling and help improve the environment? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments section below or at ReGeneration.org. Working together, we’ll continue to make a world of difference!

PLEASE REMOVE ME FROM ALL CATALOG MAILINGS. IN THIS DAY AND AGE OF GLOBAL WARMING THIS FORM OF ADVERTISING IS NOT IN OUR BEST INTEREST. THANKS!
I have tried for a long, LONG time to get off the Dell catalog mailing list. So have others. Just Google "Get off Dell Catalog Mailings."
I have called. Emailed. Called. Emailed.Mailed in requests.
I want to see some GREEN action or is DELL all TALK. Somebody email me and lets GET ME OFF THE CATALOG MAILINGS. I don't like destroying the planet when I don't have to. Oh sure it;s recycled paper or some botch up story. Who cares? Making recycled paper uses energy and so does the truck that carries the bundle of millions of catalogs and so does the ink factory. GET ME OFF ONCE AND FOR ALL!! I own three Dell PCs and they will be my last IF GREEN DELL DON'T GET ME OFF!!
