#Dell #Cloud is NOT an oxymoron. I learned that & more from my cloudy peeps at the #futurecloud event this week.  – Margaret Dawson, VP Marketing, Symform

Thanks to @DellServices, @Scobleizer and @SpectorAtDell for hosting #FutureCloud Think tank. Great experience. #cloud #cloud_compuitng” David Linthicum, CTO and Founder of Blue Mountain Software

This past Wednesday, Dell Services gathered approximately 20 highly influential, social-savvy cloud computing experts from differing backgrounds in San Francisco for a full-day of open discussion on various cloud issues, including a peek into the future. Moderated by social media thought leaders, David Linthicum (morning) and Robert Scoble (afternoon), the #FutureCloud Think Tank was a unique opportunity for these industry thought leaders to collaborate and share interesting perspectives and insights  while helping educate the global, interactive public audience. The agenda for the day included four topic sessions, which included:  1) Mobility and the Cloud 2)The Business of the Enterprise Cloud  3) Influence of Governments on Cloud Adoption and finally, 4) The Future of Cloud Computing.

Complete video recordings of the event are available on Justin.tv for the entire 8 hour day. The videos are broken up into the 4 segments to simplify your viewing experience. The event was also tweeted by all the participants with the hashtag #FutureCloud and can also be found within the @DellServices Future Cloud Think Tank Twitter List. Finally, pictures from the event are available on Flickr.

In addition, a graphic artist was present during the #FutureCloud Think Tank and  captured the intellectually-grounded  discussion  in a highly visual and easily accessible way; here is one of the illustrated session topics diagram, “The Business of the Enterprise Cloud” – the other charts can be found on the Dell Flickr page:

Again, this  event was intended to provide Dell customers and people looking for more insight into the cloud computing paradigm, a unique opportunity to listen and learn from the people setting the future direction of cloud. Dell is pleased to have offered this event to a global audience and looks forward to continuing a leadership role in the cloud computing market.
