Dell is on a mission to redefine the ability of the modern data center to continually adapt to the change faced by every organization. As customers become more interested in learning how to optimize their current storage investment, Dell breaks down the barriers to flexible data storage and sets the stage for change. Dell’s newly expanded Data Migration services help transition the customer’s data off legacy storage systems and onto new Dell IP. As we implement Fluid Data Architecture across our entire product line, customers will need Dell to move their data into the next generation Dell storage ecosystems and these services address that need.
The Dell Data Migration Planning and Data Migration Services will assist customers with an easy transition to not only the new EqualLogic blade array, but Dell’s broad storage portfolio (i.e. Compellent, PowerVault for iSCSI, Fibre Channel and Direct Attached) as well. In addition, Dell offers services for custom migrations,. To streamline the data movement and validation process, these new migration services can help customers affordably mitigate risk, reduce data migration time and increase overall savings of moving to Dell Storage Solutions built on the Fluid Data Architecture
Data Migration Planning
Storage implementations can raise unanticipated challenges, particularly in complex, heterogeneous environments. That’s why our planning engineers work closely with customers to create a migration plan specific to their environment — to minimize the impact on their applications, end users and customers. They also create a step-by step planning process workbook that serves as current state documentation of the customer’s ecosystem after the project is complete.
Dell Data Migration Services are designed to work hand-in-hand with implementation of new Dell storage systems. When customers order migration and implementation services for their new Dell Compellent, EqualLogic or PowerVault storage, Dell will handle project management, planning, installation, configuration, validation and data migration —from “boxes on the dock” to “production ready.”
This year’s Dell Storage Forum held in Boston, MA June 10 – 14, will provide an intensive, interactive learning experience that will empower you with strategic insights for 2012 and beyond.
