Today Dell announced its second quarter results for fiscal 2014. Revenue was $14.5 billion, flat Y/Y and up +3% sequentially. On a non-GAAP basis, operating income was $602 million or 4.1% of revenue and earnings per share were $0.25, representing a 50% decline.


Our Enterprise Solutions, Services and Software business grew 9 percent year over year to $5.8 billion and now represents 39 percent of our segment revenue.


End User Computing (EUC) delivered revenue of $9.1 billion in the quarter, a 5 percent decrease year over year. According to IDC, Dell was the only vendor among the top five worldwide to increase PC share both year over year and sequentially in the past two calendar quarters


We generated $1.7 billion in cash flow from operations this quarter predominantly driven by an increase in days payable and sequential revenue growth.


We continue to focus on executing our strategy to deliver practical innovation, with solutions that are efficient, simple and affordable through a superior customer relationship model.
