Hi  @Cre

so the calc button issue, i got an answer from a very talented german support engineer, and also i got an test build version. The latest ThinOS is already released, so the fix below works also withouth the test version: ThinOS 2211 and CWA 2209

Please find below link for demo build 9.3_3060 & CWA 22.9.0.21_2 test build for testing and resolving the issues.

To solve CALC key issue

Please follow the instructions below on how to set KeyboardEventMode as scancode will solve the calc key issue.

The Multimedia keyboards are now supported by CWA2209. This feature will be supported by ThinOS 2211 + CWA2209.

Refer to below details of ThinOS 2211 feature guide.

Support for extended keyboard layouts [Technical Preview]

From ThinOS 2211 and Citrix Workspace App 2209, the following extended keyboard layouts are supported in Citrix VDI session.

  • Japanese 106 keyboard
  • Portuguese ABNT/ABNT2 keyboards
  • Multimedia keyboards

The Scancode keyboard input mode supports the extended keyboard layouts along with all keyboard layout synchronization modes.

This feature is disabled by default. To enable the extended keyboard layouts in Citrix VDI session, make sure the Scancode keyboard input mode is configured. Do the following:

Steps

  • On Admin Policy Tool or Wyse Management Suite policy settings, go to Advanced > VDI Configuration Editor > Citrix Configuration Editor.
  • In the Citrix INI Settings, click Add Row.
  • From the File drop-down list, select wfclient.ini.
  • From the Operation drop-down list, select Add or Update.
  • In the Section field, enter WFClient.
  • In the Key field, enter KeyboardEventMode.
  • In the Value field, enter Scancode.
  • Sign out or restart the device for the settings to take effect

Note: Make sure the setting “Enabled Volume Control for Client Volume” is disabled in Admin Policy Tool or WMS policy, otherwise it will make the Multimedia keyboards not working.

> For the @ issue, there is no solution as linux does not support this:

For CTRL+ALT+Q for @ issue

About CTL+ALT+Q for @. it is because in XKB(Linux) system, the Altgr key was set to right Alt key, not others. That is to say, if customer press RALT+Q, they can get @.

We can also set both RALT and LALT as the Altgr key, that is to say, they can press RALT+key, or LALT + key to type all level3 keys (typed by Altgr, for example @) , but never CLT+ALT as Altgr key.

Please ask the customer if  they can use current RALT+Q key, and can only provide adding LALT key solution. Please provide customer feedback on this.
