Installing Win7 on Wyse 5010
Hi,
impossible to install WIN7ES...
I haved made the USB Key with "Dell Wyse USB Imaging Tool 3.3.0"
and image from "Windows Embedded Standard 7 Unified Build for Wyse 5010 thin client-Build Number 7092"
boot to Dell Wyse USB Imaging Tool, ok.
select the WIN7ES img, ok.
But failed just after with an "error 233".

here is the full error message :
"Error while validating security key. (error code:233)
Please review the following reason may be Error while validating security key. (error code:233)
- Eeprom validation.
- Mismatch between security key of the device and security key present in the XML file of image package.
- Check if you are trying to deploy correct image for the intend platform. Re-register the correct image package."
Could it be a licence issue ??
This Wyse wasn't buy with any licence...

The OS is limited based on what was purchased with the device, and that error indicates the license embedded in the device does not match what is expected.
There is no way to purchase and install a different OS on that EOL platform.
