Wyse Device Agent 14.5 and Kiosk Mode

Hi,

Does anybody get running the Kiosk mode (with RDP) with Wyse Device Agent 14.5.0 or 14.5.1 (in combination with WMS 3.2)?
With Agent Version 14.4.6.5 all works fine. But with 14.5.X the normal desktop is showing.

Hi Patrik,

If Kiosk Mode is not loading, you can enforce it by adding a shortcut to the Startup folder on Start Menu in case using Wyse Easy Setup.

Try deploying a batch script called WyseEZSetupStartupFix.bat with following as the content:

 

@ECHO OFF

COPY "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Wyse\WyseEasySetupShell.lnk" "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp\WyseEasySetupShell.lnk" /Y

EXIT

 

This works perfectly fine for me, but let me know if it will work for you.

Hi waria,

thanks a lot for your help. I will test it.

Is it a known issue with version 14.5.X or or did I make a mistake during the update?
I have currently installed 14.4.6. I've deployed 14.5.1 with WMS with the installation parameter /s.
