ThinOS 8.6 eGalaxTouch

Hello,

i want to use a Touchscreen with a eGalayTouch Controller on a Wyse 5010 with ThinOS 8.6 (Build Version: 8.6_807).

A touch is also detected at startup, since the touch calibration starts automatically.
Unfortunately, no inputs are accepted from the touch.

On the System Tools/ Devices Page a USB device SOLARISM [Vid_0EEF Pid_0001] device is detected.

How can I use the Touch?
Is there a possibility to install a Linux Touch driver manually on ThinOS?

Can i use the Touch with a other Version of ThinOS?

The device establishes a direct RDP connection to a Windows Server 2019.
Can the Touch be passed through?

Thanks a lot

Hi.

You cannot add drivers to ThinOS and 8.6 is the latest version for this model.

But you can try to redirect the device to the session by using USB redirection and force the redirection for this device on the Wyse and see if Windows recognize it and it works.

To enable USB redirection on the RDS host via Group Policy go to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Remote Desktop Service > Remote Desktop Session Host -> Device and Resource Redirection -> Do not allow supported Plug and Play device redirection and Disable this policy.

On the Wyse you need to force the redirection for this specific device.
Here an example (you can find the device IDs under System Information on the Wyse).

Device=vusb ForceRedirect=0x04e8,0x6860,0x06,0x01,0x01
