Setting up Wyse 3030LT - how to install OS to eMMC?

I'm new to thin client so I'm probably missing something obvious. I have a 3030LT, came with the eMMC wiped. I have downloaded the ThinOS image and booted off USB - all works fine. I can enrol in WMS. I can update the firmware via WMS.

However, it seems like it just updating the image running from USB, not actually installing it the internal eMMC. As soon as I shutdown and power up without the USB inserted, I just get PXE failure and a boot menu.

How do I get ThinOS onto the eMMC?

Thanks

Hi.

You need:

The Merlin Image Package from the Dell Support Portal for your model.

The Dell Wyse USB Imaging Tool you can download from the same page.

An USB stick you can overwrite.

Install the USB Imaging tool and unzip the Merlin package and insert the USB stick.

Launch the USB imaging tool and select Image Push, select 64bit and the add the package from the Merlin Image package folder and click on Configure USB Drive and wait until is done.

Make sure in the BIOS USB Boot is enabled. If asked for password try the default one "Fireport".

Press P at boot for the Boot Menu and select the USB stick and wait until it boots and then follow the instructions to reimage the device. It can take up to 30 minutes.

When done remove the USB stick and reboot the device.
