Last ThinOS Dell 5070 switches itself off

Hello,

we upgraded out Dell5070 to the last BIOS and ThinOS version available.

We use them to connect to citrix.

Now it happens after a few hours that the thinclient disconnects the citrix sessions and shuts down itself.

It is not a citrix issue because after restarting and login the session is still there.

Our Windows 10IoT clients do not have this problem, so we can also exclude a network problem.

Does anyone have the same difficulties with the latest BIOS/OS version?

Greetings

This sounds more like Citrix settings for idle or active timeout, but lets review a few things.

What build of ThinOS and CWA?

What BIOS version?

What does the event log say on the thin client when this happens?  You may want to pull the log and review it for the time before it reboots.

Confirm that the policy assigned to the device in WMS does not have anything in the following sections

Upgrade to (2402)9.5 seems to fix the reboots.

We have the same problem with the latest version (2402)9.5, Citrix idle/timeout settings as stated above are certainly not the reason according to our tests. Rollback has been so far our only solution and it seems like this is a long-standing issue present not only on the latest version but also on older ones.

If anybody has some advice on some stable ThinOS/Citrix version combination that is not as old as 9.1.6108, that would be highly appreciated.

@erickmf

Try Dell ThinOS 2306 (9.4.2103) with Citrix 23.5.0.58.1. This is the most stable version for us.
I am testing 2402 (9.5.1079) with Citrix 23.9.0.24.11 at the moment and appears to be stable but need to use the AdaptResolutionAllowCroppingVideo parameter to fix the webcam resolution.
Every new releases are full with issues. I am really disappointed with Dell.
