Dell Wyse 3020/ ThinOS
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can help me with this particular dilemma I'm currently having. I'm trying to install a new firmware update to my T10D, but the file the firmware has is T10D_wnos. the usb imaging tool does not recognize that type of file.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me which software tool i can use to make this firmware available to use in a usb so I can push the update to my T10D.
The version of the new firmware and it's title is
ThinOS 8.6_412 English Raw Image file for Dell Wyse 3020 thin clients
Current firmware is ThinOS 8.6_013 English Merlin image file for Dell Wyse 3020 thin clients
any help is appreciated.

That is a very old (end of life) device.

Hi buffalobound,
Yes, I have the newer firmware which is the ThinOS 8.6_412 English Raw Image file for Dell Wyse 3020 thin clients. My problem is installing it, none of the Dell Wyse USB imaging tool recognize or detect the file T10D_wnos. Other imaging tool like Rufus, etchen, win32disk imager do not recognize it either.
Any suggestions as to what type of software/imaging tools are available that can assist me in completing this task.
Any assistance is appreciated

Those firmware are designed for upgrades, not imaging using USBFT.
For USBFT you need the merlin image

Extract it, use USBFT to add to flash drive, boot off flash and image it.

Hi Buffalo Bound,
Thank you for the clarification. If i may ask, suppose I want to upgrade instead of the imaging. May i ask is there a solution to this or some sort of software I can use to do the upgrade on my T10D/3020.
I definitely would like to have the ThinOS 8.6_412 English Raw Image file for Dell Wyse 3020 thin clients on my T10D/3020.

See this link

But you need to setup an FTP server first
