No signal to monitor

We just purchased a couple of the Wyse Cloud Connect HDMI based devices.  It should be as simple as plugging it in to HDMI and following the screen to set it up.  However, in our case, we do not get a signal to any monitor that we've tried so far (Tried a monitor and TV both).  In each case, it lights up blue, then blinks between blue and pink, then turns solid blue again.  So it has power, but we've also tried the external power booster as well and no luck.  Any ideas???  Thanks for the help.
