Unisphere Central 4.0 "The Unisphere Central server is unreachable"

I have Unisphere Central 4.0 SP10 (4.0.10.1673904) 31 May 2022 deployed and frequently get alerts from the Unity arrays it is monitoring that it is unreachable.  This despite the fact that Unisphere Central (UC) is online and available.  All network settings on the appliance are correct, there are no network or IP related issues for the VM or the Unity arrays; the ESX host and network ports have no errors.  I've added the arrays to UC via the arrays using the IP with Additional security with the hash and challenge phrase.  Everything seems fine with all the array data and availability of UC.  However These alerts come from the arrays (even though they were quiet for a week).  I do see errors sometimes when logged into UC (see figures), so it seems related.  Clicking Reload does bring the web console right back and everything looks normal.

Running svc_diag returns this...

Hi,

Thanks for your question.

Is this new behavior or has it been doing this? Try restarting the management service on Unity. svc_restart_service restart MGMT

Let us know if you have any additional questions.

@DELL-Josh Cr Thank you for the reply, sorry for the delay, I didn't get a notification.     We just started using UC recently, and this has cropped up a few times.    Restarting the VM appliance resolves the issue.  Next time it happens I will try the svc_restart_service restart MGMT method and report back here.   Is there a way to not have the Unity systems connected to UC to NOT send an email alert?   When this does happen, all 43 Unitys that we have connected to UC send multiple emails.   It would be nice if we could just have a selected one let us know instead of the flood of emails to the team.

Thanks!

Are the emails coming from UC or from each Unity device? If it is from each device you could go into the alert settings and remove the SMTP information.

Thanks,

Josh
