R640 BIOS - Why does it look like this?
Hi all,
I recently acquired a Dell PowerEdge R640 and noticed that its BIOS looks like the following:
I have other R640's which have the more modern BIOS interface (which also doesnt run / feel incredibly sluggish either)
Anyone got any hints / suggestions to fixing this?

resetting the bios to defaults will fix this, OR you can go to Serial Communications in the bios, then set Serial Communication to Auto.

Hello thanks for choosing Dell.
I’m a little confused myself as well because the first pic and the second seem to have come from a different place. It seems to be a different BIOS approach. I’ve never seen the first image before. 2nd, I’m familiar with.
