Problem connecting Dell Precision 3420 to Dell P2418HZ monitor
I bought a Dell Precision 3420 PC and a P2418HZ Video-Conferencing Monitor 24", from Reebelo, a reseller.
I connected the monitor to the PC with a cable that I think is mini-display port (there are 4 such ports on the back of the PC) to HDMI on the monitor. Graphics work fine.
But the camera and microphone on the monitor don't work. The PC cannot detect the camera or the microphone on the monitor. The Dell website suggested downloading and installing a driver but this didn't help.
How do I get the camera and microphone on the monitor to work? Thanks

Ok thanks, that worked.
But there's a new problem. The P2418HZ has a HDMI cable from our security system and DP from the PC. It's set to take DP input, but on restarting it says no DP input and goes into powersave. Tried auto, same problem. How do i get the monitor to remember its input settings?

You mean it stays into powersave if you move the mouse ?
