Graphical glitches Precision 3660 with AMD W6400

I am experiencing a lot of graphical glitches with my Precision 3660. It has a AMD W6400 video card. It glitches a lot in Microsoft Outlook when scrolling through emails, it is reproduceable by moving the cursor over the list of emails- the highlighting effect jumps around all over the place.

If I use the onboard Intel graphics, the problem doesnt occur.

My colleague also has a 3660 with a W6400 and had the same problem. He has switched to the onboard graphics and now the problem doesnt occur.

I have tried updating drivers and BIOS.

I feel that this must be a 'feature' rather than a faulty card.

How do I resolve this?

Attempt with different drivers version to see if it may help.    Select clean install to remove previous driver.

Assisted a user at one point.  The screen had developed blocks of white mosaic randomly masked the text and reappeared as the mouse movement passed over certain screen area.

If your screen glitches issue is with similar symptom, the solution is video driver.  Use an older driver if needed.

Or try a different GPU in case the W6400 is on its way out.

Onboard Intel graphics work fine.

I've been searching the web and seems there's certainly a problem with Office apps and AMD graphics.

Having the same problem. This is an Office problem.

See: https://www.reddit.com/r/Office365/comments/zfg62e/bug_nvidia_gpu_text_entry_selection_glitching/

The solution is to disable core parking. This worked for me, too.

Very interesting.  "Disable core parking" also comes up in Google.

My colleague tried that and it didnt work.

I'm not going to turn off energy efficiency features just to get Outlook to work without glitching.

Some other possible solutions I've seen:

Use 'New Outlook'.

Turn on mouse cursor trails.
