U2722D, HDMI to USB-C, Lenovo ThinkPad x1
I just purchased the DELL Monitor U2722D as 2nd monitor to my Dell S2722QC and have a USB-C hub connected to my Lenovo X1 laptop. I used a HDMI to USB-C cable and my laptop does not recognize any HDMI signal nor does windows detect a monitor. Do I need to return this monitor or will it work?

To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them. Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. Provide to them the private U2722D and S2722QC Service Tags.
* List all of the video out ports on the Lenovo X1 laptop
* HDMI cannot "upconvert" to USB-C. So HDMI to USB-C won't work. USB-C to HDMI will work. So you need to more fully explain the entire setup using all in and out ports and cabling for all three devices
